Carnival in the neighborhood of Klarendal in the city of Arnhem, on February 11, 2024. Approximately 40 small and large carnival groups and marching bands participated in the annual parade that traditionally passes through a part of the old Arnhem working-class neighborhood of Klarendal.

Opening of Route Malburgen. Route Malburgen is one of the many projects that Bureau Ruimtekoers initiates in the neighborhoods of Malburgen, Immerloo, and Het Duifje. With a listening route through the Malburgen quarter the organization tries to establish a connection between the residents and the history of the eastern part of this quarter.

This year, the Netherlands is experiencing enormous growth in immigration and refugee numbers. These so-called newcomers can apply for Dutch citizenship after a certain period of time. If they are granted Dutch citizenship, it will be decided during a naturalization meeting at the town hall where they must take an oath to respect and comply with constitutional obligations.

The first Pride Walk from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Arnhem, supported by the Municipality of Arnhem, went from the Municipal Office through the center of Arnhem and ended at restaurant Geniet in the center. The approximately 75 participants carried a 35 meters long banner during the tour through the center.
